Humanitarian Assistance

Hilfswerk International provides rapid and unbureaucratic humanitarian assistance in crisis-affected regions worldwide. Our projects are designed to offer immediate support to people in need, particularly following natural disasters, armed conflicts, or other emergencies. We ensure the provision of essential supplies, including food, clean drinking water, medical care, and shelter. Our humanitarian interventions are tailored to local needs. Even in times of crisis, our guiding principle remains "helping others to help themselves" by supporting existing local initiatives whenever possible and empowering affected communities to strengthen their self-reliance.

Hilfswerk International has provided humanitarian assistance during the war in Ukraine, in response to the earthquakes in Turkey, Syria, and Morocco, following terrorist attacks in northern Mozambique, and after the escalation of violence in Lebanon. For example, in 2022 and 2023, we were able to support over 700,000 people in Ukraine with humanitarian aid.
